Indian Trail
About Indian Trail
The town of Indian Trail is located in Union Country, approximately 15 miles southeast of center city Charlotte, NC. Union County is among the 25 fastest growing counties in the US. Indian Trail was started in the 17th Century as a stop on a trading route from Petersburg, VA to the Waxhaw Indian settlement; hence the name “Indian Trail.” Today you will find a wide variety of industry and commerce, agriculture, and small businesses. New homes are being built and old homes are being renovated, both offering comfortable living options with low property taxes. Families love Indian Trail for its schools, churches, recreation and small-town amenities.
Family Circle Magazine, one of the most widely read monthly magazines in the world, has announced the results of its exclusive survey identifying Indian Trail as one of the top ten best towns and cities across the country for Families. The top ten communities featured in this annual roundup of perfect places to call home combine affordable housing, good neighbors, green spaces and A+ public school systems.
Homes in Indian Trail vary from new transitional styles in newer subdivisions, to stucco and stone mansions with private wooded lots.
