Midland is a thriving community located on the Rocky River in southern Cabarrus County just 25 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. We are the home to Corning’s Charlotte Region Fiber Optic Manufacturing Facility along with Intertape Polymer Group’s new $40M advanced manufacturing facility.
Midland is a proud Carolina Thread Trail community with two greenways and a five mile paddle trail on the Rocky River that was featured by Our State Magazine in 2016. Midland is also home to the county’s largest park (190 acres) called Rob Wallace Park, which opened in Janurary of 2017.
Over the last three years Midland’s tax base has grown 17.8%. Based on current development approvals and construction schedules, Midland is on track to grow its tax base 21% over the next three years, which will add an additional 1,000 citizens to our community.
With access to the excellent Cabarrus County School System, excellent rail access, and a short commute time to Charlotte, Midland is seeing an influx of new development and residents. Work here, live here, play here.
